What have you done to be a better Yahoo?
I am part of the HR team, a foundation group within our business, and our primary customers are internal Yahoos. Every day, I support them by connecting the dots between the Talent Acquisition technology and processes, in order to balance candidate experience, business strategy and analysis, and compliance. While not always easy, it is incredibly rewarding to be able to simplify complex problems and deliver valuable solutions to Yahoo! Talent Acquisition, our employees, and our candidates around the world.
Are you able to think big at Yahoo? How?
Definitely! I never would have imagined working with employees in so many locations around the world to create global solutions. I am amazed at the scale of challenges we solve for on a daily basis and how we are able to deliver products that will be used by millions of people.
What specific Yahoo! project has made the biggest impact on you and why?
Designing and implementing the global applicant tracking system has had a huge impact on me because it has allowed me to travel to offices in the US, Europe, Asia and India. I have had wonderful experiences meeting the team members in each country face-to-face to learn about the unique business challenges and strengths that each group brings to our company. As varied as each office is, it’s truly remarkable how consistently displayed our values of passion, innovation, and fun are echoed in each employee, regardless of physical location or group within the company.
