Favorite Moment(s):

Winning the Yahoo! Avatar look-a-like contest. I REALLY look just like my Yahoo! Avatar...no joke.

What have you done to be a better Yahoo?

Having worked here for so many years, I share my experiences with as many people as I can.

Are you able to think big at Yahoo? How?

As an editor, cameraman, director, and producer...you have no choice. Working at Yahoo! makes it a whole lot easier

What specific Yahoo! project has made the biggest impact on you and why?

Doing a “pocket documentary” on two award-winning interactive media journalists from the Oakland Tribune. They created “Not Just a Number”—a multi-layered interactive project geared toward humanizing homicide statistics in Oakland, Calif., consistently home to one of the nation’s highest murder rates. They use Yahoo! API’s and the maps are powered by Yahoo!. It was nice to see something so profound using Yahoo! technology.

What made you choose Yahoo! as a place to work?

When I first started at Yahoo! back in 1998, I had no idea what I was getting into. The entire landscape of the internet was still in it’s infancy. For seven years I had various roles within Yahoo!, from sales operations to project managing emerging products that were defining how users were using the web. However, digital video has always been my biggest passion. So when I decided to pursue a career in video production, I left Yahoo! briefly to pursue this endeavor. Yahoo! gave me an opportunity to come back as a newly trained video producer and it was then that I realized why I love working here: They believe in you.
