My favorite moments at Yahoo! were traveling and meeting my counterparts in Japan, Taiwan and Australia for the launch of the new Sponsored Search Ranking Model last year. It was an amazing experience learning about unique market landscapes and needs and cultural differences that influence decision-making and execution.

What have you done to be a better Yahoo?

I strive to consider multiple perspectives and diverse expertise, while fostering team collaboration.

Are you able to think big at Yahoo? How?

I can think big at Yahoo! because I’m able to drive my own decisions and structure around getting something accomplished. At the same time, management provides guidance and support in breaking down roadblocks when needed.

What specific Yahoo! project has made the biggest impact on you and why?

Launching Marketplace Reserve Pricing has made the biggest impact on me, as it was the greatest revenue driver in search advertising at Yahoo! in 2008. The project involved working across multiple geographies and organizations—a challenging feat to galvanize people into delivering a successful product launch.

What made you choose Yahoo! as a place to work?

I chose Yahoo! because it’s a fast-paced, fun environment. Yahoo! gives me the opportunity to work with great ideas, as well as people who want to turn the tide in the online advertising space.
