How do I search for jobs?


Answer:
If you want to get your job search underway, there are many places to begin. Easiest place to start is the "Quick Job Search" section near the top of every page of the website. You can also click on the "Find Your Big Job" button on the Yahoo! Careers home page or top navigation bar..

Do I need to sign in/create an account in order to search for a job?


Answer:
No, you don't need to sign in/create an account to conduct a job search; however we do require that you create an account in order to submit your resume. Once you create an account, you will have the ability to save job searches, create your own job cart, sign up for job search alerts, and more..

I don't have an e-mail address. Is one required to apply?


Answer:
Yes, an e-mail address is required to apply online.  If you don't have one, give Yahoo! Mail a try ... it's free and there is unlimited storage!  Otherwise, there are plenty of other free email providers, including Hotmail and Gmail..

I don't have a resume. Is one required?


Answer:
Yes. If you don't have an electronic version of your resume, create one and enter in your Profile. Need help writing a resume from scratch? There are many online career tools that can help you, including Yahoo! HotJobs. Click here to help you get started. Or choose your own service from one of many listed here..

Who should I contact regarding the status of my submission?


Answer:
Once you apply for a job, you will receive an automatic e-mail response to confirm that we have been notified of your interest.  If it is determined that you are a candidate, Human Resources will contact you by phone or e-mail to discuss your skills in detail or to schedule an interview..

What happens if a job becomes available for which I am qualified but haven't applied for yet?


Answer:
First of all, we encourage you to check the website frequently, as new jobs are posted daily.  Secondly, you can use the Job Search Alert function to be notified by e-mail when job titles are posted containing key words and other search criteria you select. 

In addition, as new positions become available, you may be included in searches conducted by Human Resources as they search for applicants who meet the skills, competencies and qualifications for new open positions.

My telephone number and address has changed. How can I update this information?


Answer:
You may update your profile at any time by logging in under "Already Signed Up?."  You may then click on My Profile and make changes.  Once you have entered your new information, click on Save at the bottom of the page.  Changes are updated in our database immediately..

I'm interested in jobs outside the US. Are there any international opportunities?


Answer:
Of course! Yahoo! is located over 20 markets and available in 13 languages. Click on the "Global Opportunities" section at the top of every page. You'll not only see where each office is located, but you'll be able to apply directly through each country's careers site from the drop down menu located on the page..
