About the Business Group: The B2B Marketing team is responsible for positioning and packaging all Yahoo! advertiser products, media solutions, product launches and Yahoo! Search for our sales, advertisers, publishers and reseller audiences. This includes messaging strategy, customer communications and sales materials and website management. This team is a part of the B2B Marketing organization.
The Sr. Director of B2B Marketing will lead the go-to-market efforts for all B2B audiences, including large advertisers, agencies, mid-tier and small advertisers, partners, publishers, resellers, influencers and analysts. He or she will partner with other marketing groups and executives across Yahoo! to develop sales enablement platforms and materials that effectively articulate Yahoo!’s value proposition and proof points to B2B audiences. These efforts will be coordinated through regional sales and executive leadership across the globe to drive sales and client adoption of Yahoo!.
The Sr. Director will have strong online advertising and media expertise, creativity and strategic vision in order to successfully develop and execute compelling marketing programs. The desired candidate has management experience and a successful track record developing marketing communications to advertising audiences and trade marketing solutions for Fortune 500 companies. He or she will report to the SVP of B2B Marketing.
Job Responsibilities:
· Execute our b2b messaging strategy across all customer segments, e.g., top customers, agencies, partners & publishers, resellers, small/mid tier advertisers
· Position and package, including proof points and value propositions, all Yahoo! Yahoo!’s ad products, media solutions, product launches and Search opportunities
· Develop go-to-market internal and external collateral, including FAQs, newsletters, trade audience emails, case studies, white papers, media kits, social media, demos and videos
· Develop and execute against global online and social media strategies, including trade web sites, blogs and social media sites
· Support the broad reach, trade campaign marketing strategies (in partnership w/ brand marketing)
· Support the events execution with appropriate strategies, messaging and collateral ranging from large scale industry events to “one to few” events like customer councils, customer roundtables and webinars
· Work closely with the internal partner organizations in Communications, Brand Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Insights, Product and Customer Advocacy to ensure that our messaging strategy reflects the opportunities for the company and is consistent, integrated and global
· Coordinate with regional b2b marketing and sales teams to insure that our messaging addresses the needs/opportunities in market and positions Yahoo! for success
· Have an expert understanding of advertising competitors and their product lines, and knowledge of how to sell against them
· Develop, nurture and manage a high performance/winning team
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience and demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful online marketing communications programs
- Strong familiarity with the digital space and knows how to demonstrate the value of online to our clients as well and internal stakeholders
- Proven ability to leading and motivating a team of individuals across different functions
- Ability to work and thrive in a cross-functional, cross-geographical teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation and planning skills
- Creative, high positive energy and an ability to execute a must
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Communication with 10+ years of relevant experience; combination of agency and client side experience is strongly preferred
