About Yahoo!

Think about impacting 1 out of every 2 people online—in innovative and imaginative ways that are uniquely Yahoo!. We do just that each and every day, and you could too. After all, it’s big thinkers like you who will create the next generation of Internet experiences for consumers and advertisers across the globe. Now’s the time to show the world what you’ve got. Put your ideas to work for over half a billion people.

Right Media, a subsidiary of Yahoo!, created and operates the Right Media Exchange, the world’s largest open exchange for interactive advertising. All advertisers and publishers in the exchange are interconnected on a common platform, have equal access to media and trade seamlessly. It’s a new vision for interactive advertising, and our pioneering efforts are now being widely copied in the industry.

With current buyers and sellers trading 5-8 billion impressions on the Exchange daily, we need more forward-thinking, business and technology-savvy contributors who can support our further growth.

Yahoo! provides a casual, yet highly productive work environment where you would be a part of a cohesive, friendly and helpful team.  We are currently seeking a Lead Solutions Analyst to join our team.  Solutions Analysts are empowered to solve critical business problems for internal and external customers. This leadership role on the team requires integrity, strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills and a commitment to the highest quality of service.  In addition, you’ll need a keen determination to develop solutions to interesting problems that often do not have simple answers.  In return, you will lead your team of Solutions Analysts as they hone their problem solving skills, become instrumental to the daily functioning of an exciting and growing company and become subject matter experts in the proper use of our sophisticated technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the RMX Solutions Engineering team, including managing tasks, hiring new team members and acting as the main POC between this team and internal customers.

  •  Be a point of escalation for internal and external customers who feel they are not getting the support they need from other team members.

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for some of our top-tier clients and become familiar with their day to day operations.

  • Be involved with drafting and managing client and internal communications regarding releases and product issues.

  •  Be a source of knowledge for both Right Media employees and external clients by learning the technical and product usage ins and outs of our product offerings.

  • Interface with Product Managers, Developers, Professional Services team and Account Managers daily to solve business and technical problems.

  •  Help drive the direction of future product releases to meet the specific needs and requirements of our clients.  Maintain a prioritized backlog of customer issues.

  •  Be available on off hours and weekends when critical situations arise.  While this is usually infrequent, all members of the team are expected to take on-call rotations on a regular basis.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  •  BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical major (candidates with strong backgrounds but without degrees in these areas are encouraged to apply)

  •  Leadership experience on a team with external-facing customer touch-points and a highly technical subject matter.

  • Strong understanding of how the Internet works and a demonstrated capacity and desire to learn new concepts related to internet advertising.

  •  Requires a desire to not just identify problems, but to understand their nature and develop solutions that fix the source of the problem.

  •  Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills.  Ability to confidently represent our company in calls with C-Level executives at our partner companies.

  • Some programming and systems knowledge, SQL experience, and a passion for technology are desirable.

  •  Experience in the online advertising industry is also extremely helpful.

This position is full-time in New York, NY.  This is not a telecommute or contract position.
