About Custom Brand Experiences
Are you a designer who is fanatical about combining great user experience with cutting-edge design? If so, we have a unique opportunity for you. Yahoo! Inc. is looking for an Interaction Designer to join the Custom Branded Experiences UED team. We need a strong Interaction Designer, who can think strategically to design exceptional experiences for some of Yahoo!'s most trafficked properties while executing with pixel-level detail.
As an Interaction Designer you will work closely with Product Managers, Visual Designers and Engineers to develop best-of-breed online experiences for a variety of Yahoo! Media properties.
Job Responsibilities include:
· Leading interaction design throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables such as use cases, task flows, user interface elements, and prototypes
· Being accountable for the user interaction model, workflows, information architecture, schematics, and interface guidelines
· Communicating design strategy and rationale to key stakeholders
· Contributing to a culture of innovation and teamwork.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
· Strong interaction design skills and an attention to detail down to the widget;
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Computer Human Interaction, Digital Media Design, or related field;
· At least five years experience as a key member of a UI team through the product development cycle of several successfully launched web, mobile and/or software applications (as opposed to layout and decorative design).
· Able to develop new approaches to complex design problems and can convey ideas into tangible form
· Organized and able to act independently
· Solid understanding of current web technologies
· Strong communication skills.
· Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
· Passion for developing innovative interfaces
· Agency experience a huge plus
