About Business Unit:
The integrated planning, analysis, and metrics team within Y! Operations Management is responsible for the planning and analysis of Y!’s global datacenter supply and demand. This includes working with each of Yahoo’s core Business’s in determining how their respective capital expenditures will be deployed across Yahoo’s Datacenter and Network infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
The Y! Operations organization is looking for an analyst to be a part of the team and involved in the following projects:
- Research the cost of building, maintaining, or upgrading our infrastructure for the different product families at Yahoo!
- Planning the build out and use of the Y! infrastructure
- Understand what drives those costs and how to control them
- Recommend specific actions to reduce those costs or more effectively generate revenue from our infrastructure
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Finance, Economics, or similar discipline
- Outstanding knowledge of the Y! brand
- Enjoy working with Teams in collaborative, self-directed environment
- Excellence in written and oral communication skills
Preferable Job Qualifications:
- Analytical background with an interest in solving business problems
- Experience tailoring communication to audiences of varying technical skills
- Capacity Planning Experience
