About Business Unit:
The capacity planning team within Y! Operations Management is responsible for the planning and analysis of Y!’s global infrastructure supply and demand. This includes working with each of Yahoo’s core Business’s in determining how their respective capital expenditures will be deployed across Yahoo’s Datacenter and Network infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
The Y! Operations Management organization is looking for a software developer who can be part of the team and involved in the following projects:
- Build database applications or add to existing databases
- Capture and manipulate data from multiple sources for inclusion in the systems
- Create a web front end for on-demand reporting
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or similar discipline
- Outstanding knowledge of the Y! brand
- Enjoy working with Teams in collaborative, self-directed environment
- Excellence in written and oral communication skills.
Preferable Job Qualifications:
- Analytical background with an interest in solving business problems
- Experience tailoring communication to audiences of varying technical skills
- Database development experience
- Web development experience
