About Business Unit:
Service Delivery Management is part of the Operations Management group within Service Engineering & Operations (SE&O) at Yahoo. This group is responsible for managing and delivering strategic cross-functional programs across SE&O, and plays a vital role working with Production Operations and Service Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize technical and analytical skills to plan and manage day-to-day delivery of infrastructure projects and services for Yahoo properties (e.g., new installs, new launches, data center moves, etc.)
- Define, collect, manage and communicate key performance indicators, metrics, and SLAs throughout all levels of the organization. Take appropriate corrective action when service levels are not met
- Responsible for being the key interface for Property issues or inquiries, providing status reports, managing tickets, providing regular status updates and creating status reports
- Work on multiple tasks simultaneously, interface with multiple groups and be able to provide technical leadership in building operational infrastructures
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery, and support escalations, service request tickets and work closely with Network, Server, and Storage engineering teams
- Support process engineering and automation initiatives
- Manage service delivery priorities between service engineering and production operations
- Monitor Service metrics performance and capacity forecasts
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Excellent communication, organizing and presentation skills
- Programming skills, e.g., Shell, C++, Java, PHP
- Technical project management experience is preferred
- Experience and knowledge of networks and systems architecture is critical
